Refund & Cancellation Policy
We sell custom software services, not products off a shelf — so this policy is about what happens when a project stops early, not about returning a box.
You pay for work done. If you stop a project, you are refunded for anything paid and not yet delivered, less work already completed. We aim to have refunds back with you within 7 working days.
1. What this covers
Custom development, design, quality-assurance and security work carried out by Coderealm under a written scope. It does not cover the Evento app, which has its own terms, or third-party costs you pay directly to someone else.
2. Cancelling before work starts
If you cancel after paying but before we have started, you get a full refund. No fee, no deduction, no conversation about it.
3. Cancelling during a phase
Work is quoted and invoiced per phase. If you cancel mid-phase, we invoice for the work actually completed and committed to that point and refund the balance of anything you have already paid. We will show you what that work was — commits, designs, reports — rather than asking you to take it on trust.
- You keep what you paid for. Deliverables for completed work are yours, and the repositories and accounts are already in your name.
- Future phases are refunded in full. Anything paid in advance for work not yet begun comes back to you.
4. If we cancel
If we end an engagement — because we cannot hold the date, or the scope has moved beyond what we can do well — you are refunded in full for any work paid for and not delivered, and we will hand over everything completed to that point with documentation so somebody else can pick it up.
5. If the work is defective
Our first remedy is to fix it. For 90 days after delivery we will correct defects — where the software does not do what the agreed scope says it does — free of charge, as set out in the Terms & Conditions.
If we cannot fix a material defect in a reasonable time, you are entitled to a refund of the fees for the affected part of the work.
6. What is not refundable
- Work already completed and delivered to the agreed scope.
- Third-party costs we paid on your behalf and cannot recover — app-store fees, domains, licences, cloud usage already consumed.
- Time spent on changes you asked for and approved outside the original scope.
- Retainer time in a month already worked. Retainers end with one month's notice.
7. How to ask for a refund
Email admin@coderealm.app with the project name and what you would like to happen. We will reply within 3 working days with a written statement of work completed, the amount refundable, and how we arrived at it.
8. How refunds are paid
Refunds go back by the same route you paid, to the same account. Once approved we initiate them within 7 working days; how long the money then takes to appear depends on your bank or card issuer, and is typically a further 5 to 10 working days. GST already charged is adjusted or credited as the law requires.
9. If you disagree with our calculation
Tell us why, and we will go through it line by line with you. We would rather settle a disputed invoice in an email thread than defend it anywhere else. Unresolved disputes are governed by the law and jurisdiction set out in the Terms & Conditions.
